BCC Students builds discipleship relationships with middle and high school students that center around the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do this through weekly gatherings on Sundays and Wednesdays. We want to come alongside these students as they are navigating Biblical truths in the day-to-day world they live in.
BCC Student Ministry Leader Expectations:
We create welcoming environments where students can enter a growing relationship with Jesus and teach them to follow Jesus in simple steps. As a leader, you are an essential part of that process. A huge win is when a middle school student comes to BCC Students on a Sunday morning and loves it so much they bring a friend back with them the following week.
As a leader, you model what a growing a relationship with Jesus looks like as you follow Jesus and take next steps in your walk with Him. We aren’t asking people to go somewhere we aren’t willing to go. We don’t need to be perfect, but prioritize our own relationship with God so our authentic faith, character and integrity help students grow in their relationship with Jesus.
- If you lead the middle school students, this means you attend the 9am church service on Sunday morning and serve in BCC students at the 10:45am service.
- If you lead the high school students, this means you are attending church on Sundays in addition to serving in BCC students on Wednesdays. Students need to see the value you place on church community in our own life before you invite them forward.
Life transformation best takes place in the context of community. Building community takes consistency. The more students see you around, the better your relationships with them will be, and the more life change will take place. Make sure you can be available on Sundays, and that you’re committed to build meaningful relationships with middle school and high school students.
