Event Description

Join us for our Women's Weekend, Restore & Belong, where we come together across four campuses for a two-day event with the intent of lingering in the presence of God and one another. Pause with us on Friday and Saturday to enjoy a special dinner, teaching, and worship to focus our attention on belonging – a celebration of family. Our prayer and anticipation is that you'll experience restoration and belonging by slowing down, and connecting together with God.

Enter a weekend of wholehearted worship with other amazing women! We invite you to cultivate meaningful relationships through shared worship and shared moments. Whether you come with a friend, or come alone, the good news is that you get to come as you are.

April 19 & 20, hosted at Willamette Christian Church

WEEKEND DETAILS:

Friday, April 19
Doors open at 6pm and the official start is at 6:30pm. Dinner is included.
Friday evening, we'll hear from Denise Douglas

Main Session: At Jesus' table all are welcome, and in the breaking of his body, no one is exiled from the table. So how do we show up for others at the table? Who do we welcome? Who are we prone to exile? But also, how do we show up for ourselves at the table? Do we welcome our whole selves there? What are the parts of ourselves that we are prone to exile from the table?

(Optional: Late Night Game Night: 8-9pm)

---

Saturday, April 20
Doors open at 8:45am (continental breakfast provided) with the official start at 9:15am.
On Saturday, we'll hear from Hannah Souter.

Main Session: The origin story about our bodies as recorded in Genesis is different from the stories about our bodies we often live out today. What if our bodies weren't something to fear, perfect, shame, ignore, or overcome? What if our bodies, in all their beauty and fragility, were meant to belong? The stories we have about our bodies, when explored with curiosity and kindness, can become a gateway to the healing and restoration our world so desperately needs.

Workshop 1 - Restore: Practices for Embodied Faith
What does it mean that our bodies are the place where God dwells? In this 45 minute workshop, participants will be invited to engage in and reflect upon 3 different body-based practices, designed to restore the body to an empowered sense of connection with God’s love.

12pm Lunch provided

Workshop 2 - Belong: Practices for Embodied Emotions
When we choose to welcome rather than exile them, emotions and sensations are the way our body communicates her profound wisdom to us. In this 45 minute workshop, participants will learn a body-based model for compassionately noticing, feeling, and learning from their emotions. This session will conclude with a guided meditation where participants can practice the skill of listening to their body’s wisdom through their embodied emotions.

3:30pm Event Ends
