The following are some of the protocols we have in place to keep your kids safe on Sundays at BCC Kids. We may make modifications to these protocols as needed for the health and safety of everyone.

  1. BCC Kids is available on Sundays during the 10am service for all kids age Infant-5th grade.
  2. Check your child(ren) in at a kiosk downstairs with a stylus pen, and receive nametags for them and your 3-digit claim sticker. We'll have someone available to assist you.
  3. After you receive your child’s nametag, proceed to their classroom with them for drop off. Rooms open 10 minutes before the start of the Service.
  4. No adult or child should enter the building if any of the following apply: symptoms of any illness, including but not limited to those of COVID-19. Symptoms to watch for: fever, cough, shortness of breath, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, headache or sore throat. Individuals with a confirmed case of COVID-19 should not enter until after adhering to the recommended quarantine and isolation guidelines.

In order to provide social distancing per child and to follow state guidelines, we have ratio and space limitations in each classroom. We will close classrooms when capacity has been reached.

We will use the following guidelines in response to positive tests or possible exposures. Children, volunteers, and staff with a known positive COVID-19 test may return to Beaverton Christian Church when all three criteria have been met:

  1. 10 days have passed since the onset of symptoms
  2. Fever free for 48 hours
  3. Symptoms have improved

Per CDC guidelines, children, volunteers, and staff will be asked to quarantine for 14 days after a known exposure of COVID-19. This includes living with a family member who has been diagnosed or having direct exposure with an individual (less than 6 feet for greater than 15 minutes) who has been diagnosed. If symptoms do arise during this quarantine time, they will be asked to meet the three criteria above before returning to Beaverton Christian Church.

The plans and protocols mentioned above are subject to change and updated as guidelines and new information becomes available. Thank you for remaining flexible as we navigate uncharted waters and provide the best care for your children. Our priority is your family’s safety, and we will keep you updated and informed.

We know this season is challenging, and we acknowledge this doesn't fit everyone's needs. Please reach out with any questions regarding your family's specific needs. Whether you choose to return to in-person church or continue to participate online, you are making the best decision for your child and family, and we wholeheartedly support you.
