Winter Lab: The advantages of technological advances are immeasurable in increasing the productivity and efficiency in our everyday lives. As followers of Jesus, how do we balance reliance on both God and automation, while navigating the intersection of faith and the rise of artificial intelligence?
Presentor Bio:
Alin and his wife Dianne have four children, Josephine, Isla, Christopher, and Henry, and they reside in Hillsboro, Oregon.
Alin Vrancila serves as the Vice President of Jessup Global at William Jessup University. With over a decade of experience teaching residentially and online, Alin's expertise lies at the intersection of technology, Christian ministry, and education. He has a diverse academic background in computer science, intercultural and international studies, and doctoral work in artificial intelligence in Christian higher education.
Beyond his academic endeavors, Alin is deeply committed to community development in South Sudan, where he actively engages in humanitarian work as CEO of Grain for Pain, (grainforpain.com) a non-profit organization operating in Uganda and South Sudan.
Alin leads the youth ministry at Agape Bible Church in Portland, and he is also serving the church at large with Useful To God (usefultogod.com), a Christian think-tank that is making a significant impact in the world.
