A couple-to-couple relationship that helps couples live out their vision for marriage.
An 8 week course where couples find Biblical help from marriage mentors before small challenges become overwhelming.
Mentoring brings personal support, encouragement, and advice from couples who are more experienced. It can either focus on couples starting out in marriage (premarital or newlywed), couples experiencing challenging times or those wanting to grow their marriage.
Enrich your Marriage
No matter where you are in your marriage, we will work to pair you with caring mentors who are motivated and excited to help you grow though the challenges of marriage.
Request Marriage MentoringMentors are trained couples from BCC who are motivated and excited to help couples grow through the challenges of marriage.
Mentors are not counselors but are trained to recognize needs and to recommend professional counseling where needed.
A variety of resources are used. Prepare/Enrich, a comprehensive online assessment tool, aids in quickly determining areas of relationship strengths and growth. It has been used by thousands of couples worldwide. The results of the assessment are integrated throughout the mentoring process, merging with other discipleship and marriage enrichment tools. There is also a homework component, with interactive couple exercises and tools for conflict resolution and communication development. Scripture is the foundational resource used to guide and direct.
If you are preparing for marriage, are newlyweds, or you and your spouse feel your marriage could be enriched, we encourage you to contact the church for more information about the BCC Marriage Mentor program.

Marriage Mentoring strengthens couples who are starting out in marriage (premarital or newlywed), couples who would like to grow their marriage, or couples who are experiencing challenging times.
Marriage Mentoring is one couple sitting down together with their mentor couple for 8 sessions, learning skills that will help their marriage be all that God intends for it to be.
Marriage Mentoring feels simple and safe… it is one couple coming alongside another couple to encourage and strengthen their marriage, using Scripture and a variety of other resources. It is tailor-made to our culture, and to our busy lifestyles. It is built on the understanding that the more our marriages are built on God’s Word, the stronger and more joyful they’ll be.
The mentors are couples from Beaverton Christian Church who have completed the Marriage Mentor training, and who want to invest in the vibrant health of other marriages.
Couples usually complete the Marriage Mentoring process in two to three months. Couples normally spend about 1 1/2 hours together once a week (sometimes every other week). The daily couples’ homework can usually be completed in less than 30 minutes a day.
