Found: The Found Coin - Luke 15:8-10 (NLT) - Jon Furman

Let’s eat, Grandma!
Let’s eat Grandma!

Panda eats shoots and leaves.
Panda eats, shoot, and leaves.

Luke 15:8 (NLT)
“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Won’t she light a lamp and sweep the entire house and search carefully until she finds it?

Some of the things that get lost are right there in the house with us.

Lamp – Financial
Sweep- Energy
Search- Time

How we spend our resources is a demonstration of where our heart and our affections are.

Luke 15:9-10 (NLT)
And when she finds it, she will call in her friends and neighbors and say, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.”

Application:
What can you do to stay watchful over your heart?
Who do you know that “belongs” with us but isn’t with us?
How could you reach out to them with time, energy, or finances?
