The Good News that God is Near - Jon Furman
Matthew 1:23b (NLT)
“…She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’”
John 1:14 (NLT)
So the Word (Jesus) became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
John 1:10-12 (NLT)
He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:4-5 (NLT)
The Word (Jesus) gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
