A NOTE FROM MARTY MIRANDA

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. Follow the way of love.” - 1 Corinthians 13:13-14:1

Life is full of unexpected surprises and turns of events. When life throws a curve ball at us, it’s easy to respond by becoming fearful. We become fearful about the changes happening, our current situations, and the uncertainty of whats next. But instead of responding in fear towards whatever is shifting and moving in our life, there are things we can lean into that will always remain: faith, hope and love.

In this passage, Paul had just previously listed gifts that won’t remain into eternity. But faith will remain. Hope will remain. And love will remain. When we lean into fear, that’s often when faith fades, hope begins to die, and love is no longer the path we follow. But leaning into faith, hope and love draws us close to who God is, giving us the courage we need to do what Jesus is asking us to do.

So whatever uncertainty you face today, lean into faith, lean into hope, and follow the way of love.
