A NOTE FROM MARTY MIRANDA
But practicing the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Christ, who is the head. From him the whole body grows, fitted and held together through every supporting ligament. As each one does its part, the body builds itself up in love. Ephesians 4:15-16
Our High School students spent this last weekend at Twin Rocks Friends camp in Rockaway Beach for their Summer Adventure. Over the weekend, students engaged in teaching and worship while having some fun on the lake, at the beach, and around the campfire. I love this trip because it's an opportunity for our High School students who play such a key role in what God is doing here at BCC to connect and be poured into. Students and leaders build one another up so they can continue pouring out year-round as they serve in BCC Kids, Middle School ministry, their families, schools, and communities.
This Summer Adventure is representative of what God is doing at BCC as a whole. Jesus is building something incredible at BCC. People are being inspired to know, love, and follow Jesus. People are finding life change in meaningful community. Next steps are being taken through baptism and serving. Each week we see God do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work in his people. And this happens as each one of us has the courage to focus on Jesus and do our part in building one another up. When we build each other up, the whole church is healthy, growing, and full of love!
So this week I encourage you to consider how you can come alongside someone and help them grow. What can you do that will be beneficial, constructive, and edifying to others? I invite you to take a moment to thank God for all the ways you see him building his church.
