God Will Meet All Our Needs

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” - Zechariah 4:6

Life has a way of helping us acknowledge our limitations as we come to the end of ourselves. When we reach our limit and we know we don’t have it all together, there is a blessing in becoming more aware of and making peace with our limitations. There is a gift in believing in Jesus and inviting the Holy Spirit to work mightily through us and on our behalf. When we reach our limitations we can rely on His Spirit to guide and empower us beyond what we perceive as possible.

This is when we pause and remember:

When life feels out of control, God is in control.
When we fall short, God is perfect.
When we can’t be there for everyone, everywhere all at once, God is there.
When we don’t have all the answers, God is all-knowing.

We can be human-sized, and trust in Jesus, the Shepherd of all our cares and all our worries, who meets all our needs. It’s as Paul declared to the Philippian church in Philippians 4:19, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

Wherever you find yourself running up against your limitations, may you find joy and peace in believing in Jesus. May you find strength as you trust in him to supply everything you need in the new year!
