Be Known. Share Your Story.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. - Hebrews 10:24-25

We all need a place to be known and to share our stories. It’s the context where Jesus changes our lives. To grow, change, and experience God’s best for our lives, we need one another. Our life changes when we get out of rows and into circles. When we commit to being honest, gracious, and present, it creates an environment where people can be vulnerable and share their stories while feeling valued, seen, and heard.

The church is not a building or program. The church is people, a community of people who were designed for relationship. We see this in the very beginning when God created people in and for relationship with Himself and with one another. Yet in our brokenness, we often hurt one another, and distance ourselves from God and others. The beauty of God's plan is that while we are hurt in the context of community, we also experience healing through community. It is in community that we have the opportunity to experience meaningful, life-giving relationships that shape us, mold us, and grow us into the people God made us to be.

What does this kind of community look like for you right now?

Do you have a place where you can be known and share your story?

There are many places at BCC for you to experience this. One opportunity is Rooted. Rooted is a place to grow in rhythms of what it means to know, love, and follow Jesus.

Our next Rooted opportunity is coming up this spring, and we invite you to jump in!
