Good Friday

Spoiler alert, in every great story, whether it’s Homer or Hitch, there is a reversal of fortune that saves the day for the hero.; Something amazing takes place and hope replaces despair, joy triumphs over sadness, and love conquers all.

Today, Good Friday, Christians worldwide pause to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. It's a solemn day, as we remember the immense love and grace demonstrated through His willingness to carry the weight of our sins. 1 Peter 2:24 beautifully describes this sacrifice, reminding us, "He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed."

The great reversal of Good Friday is that by Jesus wounding we experience healing, and in his death, we find life!

On Good Friday we are invited to consider the depth of Christ's love and the transformative power of His sacrifice. Through His wounds, we find healing—not only physical but spiritual and emotional. It's a reminder that He offers us the opportunity to embrace his righteousness and experience freedom from the weight of sin.

As we commemorate Good Friday together tonight here at BCC, we’re remembering the sacrifice that paved the way for our reconciliation with God and opened the door to eternal life.

We would love to have you join us at BCC tonight at 6:30pm as we respond together to Jesus’ love with gratitude and awe, living each day in the light of His redemption and sharing His message of hope and salvation with a world in need, finding solace in His wounds and rejoicing in the healing they bring to our lives.
