Come to Worship - Lift Your Hands: Psalm 143:5-6 (NLT) - Jon Furman
Worship: Thought and action that demonstrates respect and admiration for something we hold in high honor.
Worship Defines Us
Worship Refines Us
Worship Aligns Us
Psalm 143:5 (NLT)
I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.
Psalm 143:6 (NLT)
I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.
What God does IN us is always expressed THROUGH us.
Exodus 17:11 (NIV)
"As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning."
We don’t ask God to make us magnificent, we surrender to God and then display HIS magnificence.
Lower Your Heart
Lift Your Hands
Romans 12:1 (NLT)
“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him”
